Deep Love ~アユの物語~

I was really moved by this drama so thought I would write about it. I have seen this before, years back when I was in Japan I think it was when I was about 14, the books written by a guy called Yoshi,  it was a huge hit, on every book shelves. I own three of the novels and two of the mangas myself (although I struggle a lot with the kanjis in the books) I want to get it back from home and read them. Even though when I read the first one I remembered it was very explicit with very graphic sexual scenes. Nevertheless, the story has wonderful meanings behind it and it is very tragic.

This is the synopsis:

Ayu, a young prostitute has lived a meaningless life until she met a young boy named Yoshiyuki. They met when an old lady who taught her the meaning of life passed away, only briefly telling her of her grandson, Yoshiyuki. Knowing that the old lady wished only to see her grandson but is unable to grant the old lady her wish, Ayu then thought that she could take care of Yoshiyuki for her. Ayu and Yoshiyuki, despite his heart problems and her dark past love each other to the fullest. However, life wasn't easy for the both of them. Yoshiyuki's father forbids their relationship and kept them away from each other. But Ayu sacrificed herself by becoming a prostitute once again to earn money for Yoshiyuki's operation and to keep her promise to the old woman who changed her life. Can Yoshiyuki's life be saved? Will Ayu finally be free from all her burdens? Will their love still remain even after separation?

You can really relate about the characters feelings in this and I have never cried so much over a drama! I also really want the dog, (Pao) in it its the most adorable thing I have ever seen!
Each episode is only about 25 minutes long and always has a message from the writer, Yoshi at the end where he is explaining how the characters feel. It is very moving and I can really relate to some of those feelings.
Anyway here's the link to it although please note, that if you don't understand Japanese a lot of the translation on the subtitles are wrong. I'd really like to see series 2 if they have made it, after Yoshiyuki turns into a host although I'm not sure that they have made one.
